For starters, a blue racer snake in the garage, so can't go thru the garage to get to the car! At the front door, a diamond shaped head black/grey snake at the front door!!! At the back door, well, goes to the back yard, which, alligators are just sun bathing right in my back yard!!!!!! Tired of Disney shows!!!! I want to get out!!!! Tired of being stuck in the house!!! I want to get out and just do something!!!! Animal control? Nan, they are not gonna do anything to the alligators due to non aggressive so far, and smaller then 6 ft. So pretty much stuck with nature at its best!! Even yesterday, trying to get to my mail box, grey herons were keeping me from getting to the mailbox! Then The hawk that keeps on flying over my front yard trying to catch kitty cats! On top of everything, raccoons are a pain in the neck, and the opossums are even just the same! They just love hanging out in front of the yard, and when we put the trash out on trash days, you bet!!! They are into them!! Making a big huge mess!! Then you got the ducks crossing back and forth the street everyday, about 20 times a day!!! Then the black vultures, what a pain, when they see road kill, well, you bet, over 20 of them around, and covered the whole entire street where no body can drive on them!! Does anyone has this issues with wild life? And don't forget about the deer!!!! Yep, they sure do mess up your plants!!! And eat up your spices! And tear up a garden as well! Seems that they love to eat veggies! oh, and the lynx, they will almost fooled ya like they are one of the kitty cats! But beware!! They are dangerous! I walked onto one, while feeding the kitty cats! Yikes!!! When will the alligators go back in the pond? When will the snakes leave the area? Why so many snake skins around the house, and garage, and front door and bushes? And most of all, when can I get out, just get some Starbucks coffee? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3yUZvw-Ps30&feature=relatedhttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3yUZvw-Ps30&feature=related
Duct Tape Hiking Gear Help your child gear up for an afternoon hike with these handy supply holders -- duct tape pockets that slip onto a belt to keep a water bottle, map, or just about anything else right at hand. | CRAFT MATERIALS: | | Duct tape | | Scissors | | Water bottle | Time needed: About 1 Hour | 1. Each of these pockets begins with a duct tape sheet. To make one, first lay a 12-inch-long strip of duct tape, sticky side up, on your work surface (use a durable surface, like plastic or formica). Carefully place a second strip, sticky side down, about halfway down on the first strip.
2. Flip over the strips and stick a third piece halfway down on the second strip. Repeat this process until you have a sheet that's about three quarters the height of the item to be carried. Then follow the steps below to turn the sheet into a pouch for a water bottle, a map, or an energy bar.
3. For a water bottle holder: (A.) Fold up the bottom tape edge and trim the 2 side edges to make them even. Cut H-inch-wide tabs along the exposed top piece of tape. (B.) Wrap the duct tape sheet around a water bottle with the tabs at the bottom, sticky sides out. Trim the sheet, if necessary, then tape it in place to form a loose pocket around the bottle. (C.) Fold over the tabs, sticking each one to the next, to create a bottom for your pocket, then cover the tabs with more tape.
4. For other pockets, like our map and energy bar holders: (A.) Fold over the top and bottom sticky edges of your duct tape sheet, then wrap the sheet around the item to be carried to judge the fit. Trim the sheet, if necessary, then tape it in place to form a loose pocket. (B.) Seal the bottom of the pocket with a piece of duct tape and trim the edges.
5. To assemble the belt: One at a time, slip a piece of scrap wood into each pocket as a temporary backing, then use a craft knife to cut 2 vertical slits (about 1 or 2 inches apart and slightly longer than your child's belt is wide) near the top of the pocket (a parent's job).
6. Finally, slide the pockets onto your child's belt and fill them with supplies. Photo Board
Here's an activity only for kids brave enough to face a hungry lion -- and be photographed in a tuxedo! With an instant or digital camera, the resulting shots make for a great party favor. | CRAFT MATERIALS: | | 4- by 6-foot Sheet of Foam Core (available at larger office or art supply stores) | | Pencil | | Knife (Long enough to cut through foam core) | | Acrylic Paint | | Duct Tape | | 2 Garden Stakes | | Footstool (for short children) | | Camera | Time needed: About 2 to 3 Hours | 1. To make a lion and lion tamer photo board, first sketch it out on the foam core in pencil.
2. Cut the mouth hole out of the foam core with your knife.
3. Pain the scene with acrylic paints.
4. Once dry, duct-tape the photo board to the 2 garden stakes set in the ground.
Tips: Dress up your photo board lion with pipe cleaner whiskers and give your tamer a balloon tether to hold. Recycled Tote
Fuse a stack of plastic shopping bags into a durable, water-resistant carryall, great for toting sleepover gear, wet bathing suits, or sandy beach treasures. | CRAFT MATERIALS: | | 9?10 plastic shopping bags (use only those labeled No. 2 HDPE) | | Scissors | | Parchment paper | | Iron | | Ironing board | | Colored duct dtape | Time needed: Under 1 Hour | 1. Cut the handles and bottoms from 8 shopping bags. Arrange the bags into two equal stacks. Make sure any printing on the top and bottom bags faces inward.
2. Sandwich one of the stacks between two pieces of parchment paper, making sure the plastic is entirely covered. Beginning with the iron on a low setting, such as synthetics, move it steadily over the stack until the bags shrink and fuse together. If the bags do not fuse after 2 or 3 minutes, increase the iron?s temperature. You may need to experiment to get the heat just right. Avoid touching the plastic directly with the hot iron. Set the fused sheet aside and repeat with the other stack.
3. To create one long sheet of plastic, lay the two sheets end-to-end, overlapping by one inch. Then iron the overlap between layers of parchment paper to fuse the sheets together.
4. Have your child choose colored plastic bag strips to decorate the outside of the sheet. Iron these plastic pieces to the sheet between parchment paper, as in step 2.
5. Lay the sheet decorated-side down. Fold it so that the short ends match up, and tape the sides of the bag together. Trim the top of the bag to even the edges. For each handle, lay a 9-inch-long piece of tape in the center of an 18-inch-long piece, sticky sides together, then tape the handles to the inside of the bag.
It has been very hard week so far! My son, home, who is austic has been very dangerous to himself and others! Not sleeping at night at all, and that means I am not getting much sleep either! Well anyway, today, he has been voluntarily backer acted, and still just worried about the bill of his hospilatization! Gosh, why does insurances just drop so much medical and mental health care, and respite care? Why cant they see, if they take this away from families, that they will have a bigger health issues with adults of blood pressures, and other issues due to extremed stress? What is it with the care even with the State to take care of kids? Why medicaid is so cheap lately with taxes? Because kids who need them, can't get any services at all! Republican sucks!!! Stop cutting taxes, when you do this, the kids care always get the worst of the end of the deal~!!! The lottery? Is a JOKE!! It does nothing to help kids or even the schools! All it does, put more money into politicans pockets, and leave the welfare of health of people in jeopardy! What is abuse? Is Republican ways of taking services from special needs children and adults! Cutting so much, what happened no kids left behind? Leaving kids without services means: No serives, no abilities to learn, no abliites to reduce stress, more foster care, and later on, crime rate will be on a rise, due to lack of help with kids now! It is time to get Republicans out of the grove of taking serives and abusing children and disablites of adults and even the elderly and bring back what they need! Well that's my rant, and I am stressed, and wished that there is no republican party in charge so that serives will start back again, for children of special needs, and respite for real parents to get a break, not just foster parents only!!!!! Keep families together, then treat parents same as foster parents, give same training, and give parents tools to destressed themselves!

Wind History | Coastal Watches/Warnings and 3-Day Track Forecast ConeClick image to zoom in – Turn track off Click Here for a Printer Friendly Graphic About this product: This graphic shows an approximate representation of coastal areas under a hurricane warning (red), hurricane watch (pink), tropical storm warning (blue) and tropical storm watch (purple). The orange circle indicates the current position of the center of the tropical cyclone. The black line and dots show the National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecast track of the center at the times indicated. The dot indicating the forecast center location will be black if the cyclone is forecast to be tropical and will be white with a black outline if the cyclone is forecast to be extratropical. If only an L is displayed, then the system is forecast to be a remnant low. The letter inside the dot indicates the NHC's forecast intensity for that time. NHC forecast tracks of the center can be in error; track forecast errors in recent years were used to construct the areas of uncertainty for the first 3 days (solid white area) and for days 4 and 5 (white stippled area). These areas of uncertainty are formed by enclosing the area swept out by a set of circles (not shown) along the forecast track (at 12, 24, 36 hours, etc). The size of each circle is set so that two-thirds of historical official forecast errors over a 5-year sample fall within the circle. The historical data indicate the entire 5-day path of the center of the tropical cyclone will remain within the outer uncertainty area about 60-70% of the time. There is also uncertainty in the NHC intensity forecasts. The Maximum 1-minute Wind Speed Probability Table provides intensity forecast and uncertainty information. It is also important to realize that a tropical cyclone is not a point. Their effects can span many hundreds of miles from the center. The area experiencing hurricane force (one-minute average wind speeds of at least 74 mph) and tropical storm force (one-minute average wind speeds of 39-73 mph) winds can extend well beyond the white areas shown enclosing the most likely track area of the center. The distribution of hurricane and tropical storm force winds in this tropical cyclone can be seen in the Wind History graphic linked above. Considering the combined forecast uncertainties in track, intensity, and size, the chances that any particular location will experience winds of 34 kt (tropical storm force), 50 kt, or 64 kt (hurricane force) from this tropical cyclone are presented in tabular form for selected locations and forecast positions. This information is also presented in graphical form for the 34 kt, 50 kt, and 64 kt thresholds. Note: A detailed definition of the NHC track forecast cone is also available. |

Sleep Apnea May Spur Night Heart Attacks Obstructive Sleep Apnea May Trigger Nighttime Heart Attacks July 21, 2008 -- Obstructive sleep apnea may make nighttime heart attacks more likely than daytime heart attacks, a new study shows. In obstructive sleep apnea, the upper airway becomes completely or partially blocked, interrupting regular breathing, several times per night. The new study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, recommends that people who have heart attacks while sleeping at night be screened for obstructive sleep apnea. The study included 92 people who had recently had a heart attack. The patients reported what time their heart attack symptoms started. They also took part in a sleep study about 17 days after their heart attack. The sleep study showed that 64 patients had obstructive sleep apnea. The patients with and without sleep apnea were pretty similar in their backgrounds and medication use. But the timing of their heart attacks was different. The patients with obstructive sleep apnea were six times more likely to have had their heart attack between midnight and 6 a.m. than during the rest of the day. In contrast, the patients without sleep apnea were more likely to have had their heart attack between 6 a.m. and noon. Obstructive sleep apnea "may be a trigger" for heart attacks, write the researchers, who included the Mayo Clinic's Fatima Kuniyoshi, PhD. Kuniyoshi's team calls for further studies to see if obstructive sleep apnea treatment reduces heart attack risk, especially at night.
